Navillus contracted and oversaw the design, fabrication, and installation of this large commission by Edra Soto. Located at the center of a corporate campus, Victoria functions as a community gathering space.
Since the first prototype was built in 2013 The Franklin Dining Series has undergone several evolutions, each iteration refining its proportions, angles and dimensions.

The Franklin Dining Series has been featured on The Bear (Hulu).

The Franklin Series Sideboards were developed to showcase the Franklin Leg on a reduced scale, subtle enhancing the CNC carved doors on this Mid-Century inspired sideboard.

The versatility of the Franklin Leg is well illustrated in the diversity of applications when used with tables of different scales and functions. For the Dining Table, it is made from 2″ laser-cut tube, individually inset in the corners. On the desk it is made of wood and wraps around the top in a continuous line. On the nested table it plays a dual role supporting the top and a lower shelf.

Navillus worked closely with Blue Star Properties and 16 On Center to realize the millwork for From Here On, located in Chicago’s historic Old Post Office. Additional lighting, millwork, and furniture by Dock 6 partners zakrose and Ism Furniture.

Navillus, under the leadership of zakrose, teamed up with Dock 6 partners to build the interior millwork for this innovative Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant, located in Lincoln Park Chicago.

The exhibition, Barnes’ first at the Art Institute of Chicago, offers a sculptural, critical reflection on ‘the enduring architectural legacy of the Classical orders – the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian’. Creating an alternative to the existing styles, seen through the global Black experience, history, and values.
Surrounded by stunning work from some of Chicago’s leading artists, designers, and crafts people, this unique project afforded Navillus the opportunity to design and build 4 new side tables, 12 workstations, and an enormous communal table, featuring 2 beautiful Claro walnut slabs supported by a Franklin leg base.

Navillus worked closely with Range Design & Architecture to develop the award-winning build-out of the Hopewell taproom, including furniture (the “Lightframe” Stool).
Originally developed as an affordable and durable product for hospitality, the Humboldt School House Chair and Stool has also found its way into many homes and kitchens. The design refines an icon familiar to many. Sturdy and profoundly comfortable, the color of the steel and veneer are customizable.
The Humboldt Dining Series has been featured at Boqueria Chicago, Boqueria Nashville, Boqueria Boston, Boqueria Seaport, and Boqueria West Hartford.
