Navillus Collaboration with Edra Soto in Central Park, NYC

Navillus is proud to share the completion of Edra’s Soto new installation in Doric C Freedman Plaza, located in Central Park, NYC, and provided by the Public Art Fund.

This installation is part of Edra’s ongoing Graft series, where she transplants a middle-class home, much like the one she grew up in, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to this public space on the southeast corner of Central Park.

A special thanks goes to Edra for her vision and for trusting the Navillus team with this incredible project. Appreciation also goes to the Public Art Fund, particularly Susan Freedman, Melanie Kress, and Hussain Khanbhai, for their commitment to public art. Additionally, thanks to Architectural Cast Stone, Mill Creek Metal, Pete Moorman, and Mariano Bros for their expertise and precision.

This sculpture is designed as a public gathering space, open to all, and located on the edge of Central Park, New York’s “backyard.” The installation will be on display through mid-August 2025.
